Best Indian Movie I have Watched

When I was young, I remembered that Indian movies broadcasting in the TV and it is always about dancing, but yet I can spent hours finishing the movie. I could not recall when was the last time I did that stunt, but I managed to watch one Indian movie and it is unexpectedly interesting.

The movie is called Slumdog Millionaire directed by Danny Boyle and co-directed by Loveleen Tandan. The plot of the story is about an 18 years old orphan, named Jamal Malik (Casted Dev Patel) who was to about to experience the biggest day of his life and one question away from winning 20,000,000 rupees in India's "Who wants to be a Millionare ?" But he was arrested a night before the game show as the police suspected the uneducated orphan cheating in the game show.

As Jamal answers the questions, it actually did a flashback on the events which he have encountered in the path of his life. It talks about racism, child peddlers, children working force and forced to steal in order to continue with his life. I think that this might be reflecting on the the real life of orphans in India, and the problem which are faced in most of the poorer countries. The movie also includes a blend of brotherhood and persistent love.

I would give this movie a 6-star rating. Believe me, you would not regret watching it. More information, try reading Sound On Sight Blog's comments. (I gotten the above picture from there as well)

Won 4 Golden Globes. 31 wins and 37 nominations. Find out more at IMDb.

I watched it online and if you are interested, here is the link for Slumdog Millionaire.

The PUMP ROOM & Shesha

It has been such a long time last since I hang out with my friends, especially chilling. We only know mahjong-ing rite ? Anyway, It has really been a huge change in Singapore, I don't even know the road back to my own house, thanks to the newly opened KPE sia.

I was wondering if the service sector in Singapore is getting bad to worse or worse to worst ? If we got the wrong wine, just tell us politely, the waiter should not be telling us in a manner like "Hey, you are the stupid idiot who have made the mistake!" Anyway, I got my coffee, at least an consolidation prize.

Hey, Di'er. I wondered how big was your chilli crab at Jumbo restaurant ? It took you more than an hour to finish it... Or you have been in Japan too long that you forgotten how to peel the crab's shell ? lol ... Let's shift to the shesha cafe, need a good puff. What's wrong with Singapore's smoking laws ...

Sorry for my big mouth.

Di'er and her Jap bf. Naoki san.

Bra and his gf

That's the Shesha, and here's our drink. Sorry... No alcohol for me... I am the DD later .. lolx.

2 Singaporean unaccounted in Bangkok's Santika Pub

Again, we have news of Singaporean killed in overseas. This time round it has happened in Bangkok, and one Singaporean was kill, 2 with minor injuries while another 2 is not yet to be accounted for. The incident took 60 lives and injuring 200 others.

Cause of the disaster might be firecrackers or pyrotechnics which are used for the celebration.

Now I can fully understand why Singapore has ban firecrackers. Because we are living almost side to side and if anything like that would have happen, unimaginable..
